About 3rb capital partners

Who We Are

3RB Capital Partners was formed to partner with privately held businesses through thoughtful ownership transitions.

The firm focuses on businesses where the people behind the company, the customer relationships they have built, and the reputation they have earned are central to its success. 3RB seeks to provide owners with a transition path that preserves those strengths while supporting responsible growth.

In many founder-led companies, long-tenured employees carry meaningful operating knowledge, customer trust, and cultural continuity. Supporting, developing, and rewarding those employees is a core part of 3RB’s philosophy.

3RB was built with a long-term orientation, not a short-term investment approach. The focus is on learning what has made a business successful, supporting the team already in place, and investing behind the people, systems, and opportunities that can make the company stronger.

Our Founder

Solomon Rice founded 3RB Capital Partners to partner with and operate a privately held business through its next phase of ownership.

Solomon started 3RB because he wanted a more direct and personal way to work with small businesses. After years of evaluating companies as an investor and working alongside operators, he saw the opportunity to help a business improve from the inside: supporting employees, professionalizing business functions, and carrying forward the work of an owner who built something meaningful.

Prior to founding 3RB, Solomon worked as an investor at Atairos, where he evaluated and supported investments across a range of sectors. He also spent time in an operating strategy role with Aston Villa Football Club, focused on commercial strategy, pricing, sponsorship, and growth initiatives.

Solomon began his career in investment banking at Bank of America. He holds a B.A. in Financial Economics from Columbia University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Approach

3RB’s approach starts with understanding what has made a company successful. That includes the people, processes, customer relationships, and operating culture that have been developed over time. The goal is to preserve those strengths while investing behind opportunities that can improve the business.

Employee welfare is a key part of 3RB’s investment philosophy. We believe businesses are stronger when employees are given opportunities to grow and able to share in the company’s long-term success. This includes investing in training, improving internal systems, creating clearer paths for advancement, and evaluating ways to better align employees with the value they help create.
